Narendra Modi commemorated NT Rama Rao, founder of the Telugu Desam Party and ex-chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 103rd anniversary of his birth. Modi praised NTR for his dedication to public welfare, which improved the lives of the disadvantaged.

NT Rama Rao, affectionately known as NTR, was celebrated not only for his influential political career but also for a prolific film industry journey, starring in around 300 Telugu films. Modi remarked on how NTR's ideals and work in cinema continue to inspire successive generations.

Modi noted that the National Democratic Alliance government in Andhra Pradesh, led by Chandrababu Naidu, is committed to fulfilling the aspirations NTR envisioned for the populace. Leadership of the TDP, an essential NDA ally, remains with Naidu, the sitting chief minister.
