Indian-American Journalist Recognized by New York State Assembly
The New York State Assembly has honored Indian-American journalist T Vishnudatta Jayaraman, founder of South Asian Herald, for his contributions. Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar praised the publication's role in representing the South Asian community. In addition, Jayaraman received accolades from Congressmen during AAPI Heritage Month events.

Indian-American journalist T Vishnudatta Jayaraman, who established the South Asian Herald, received special recognition from the New York State Assembly. This honor, presented at the State Capitol in Albany, acknowledged his significant contributions to media and his dedication to the South Asian diaspora in the United States.
Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar awarded Jayaraman with a proclamation, praising South Asian Herald as a distinguished news platform that serves as a vital voice for a dynamic and influential community. Speaker Pro Tempore Pamela Hunter also extended her best wishes for the continued success of Jayaraman and his publication.
Earlier, during an event by Global Eye magazine on Capitol Hill, US Congressmen Jonathan Jackson, Danny Davis, Shri Thanedar, and Suhas Subramanyam also honored Jayaraman with a Congressional Record and commemorative medal as part of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebrations.
