Congress members organized a protest in Bhopal on Saturday in response to allegations of a NEET exam paper leak. Prominent Madhya Pradesh leaders, such as Digvijaya Singh and Jitu Patwari, were detained briefly before being set free.
The demonstration was initiated by the National Students Union of India (NSUI), affiliated with Congress. Notable participants included Opposition Assembly Leader Umang Singhar and NSUI national president Vinod Jakhar, who gathered at the Congress office before massing at the chief minister's residence. Law enforcement used water cannons to disperse the assembly and detained numerous leaders and activists temporarily.
According to Congress officials, some protestors, including NSUI state vice president Ravi Parmar, sustained injuries. The event highlighted growing discontent as the Central Bureau of Investigation probes the NEET paper leak claims. The National Testing Agency had earlier annulled the initial NEET test set for May 3, scheduling a retest for June 21.
