Naveen Patnaik, head of the Biju Janata Dal and leader of opposition in Odisha, actively participated in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise organized by the Election Commission of India. This event emphasizes safeguarding voter rights, which Patnaik highlighted by completing the enumeration form at his residence, Naveen Niwas.
Through social media, Patnaik urged citizens to verify their voter entries to protect their democratic rights, emphasizing his commitment by participating in the SIR process. The SIR, starting this weekend and running until June 28, involves over 45,000 booth-level officers who will conduct door-to-door verification across the state. The revised voter list will be available on September 6.
