In a fierce attack, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has lambasted the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for allegedly acknowledging security lapses in its On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. Ramesh claims that, while the CBSE monitors vulnerabilities and enlists cybersecurity experts, deeper issues remain unresolved.

Through an X post, Ramesh highlighted irregularities in the Request for Proposal (RFP) related to the August 2025 tender. He expressed concerns about Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's leadership and accused the government of shielding Coempt Eduteck, the company behind the OSM system.

Ramesh's allegations are rooted in CBSE's alteration of its own power to blacklist vendors, as seen in a September corrigendum. Congress demands the resignation of the Union Education Minister, amid CBSE's denial of any misconduct in awarding contracts and growing scrutiny over technical failures.
