Bennett wins Democratic nod in New Jersey primary to face US House Republican Kean

Democrat Rebecca Bennett has secured the nomination in New Jersey's seventh congressional district, setting up a competitive general election against Republican U.S. Representative Thomas Kean.

‌Democrat Rebecca Bennett ​emerged from ‌a highly competitive primary on Tuesday to take ‌on Republican U.S. Representative ‌Thomas Kean in the November general election ⁠in ​New ⁠Jersey's seventh congressional district, U.S. ⁠media projected.

Kean, who ​has been absent from ⁠Congress with an ⁠undisclosed medical ​issue since early March, ran ⁠unopposed in the primary ⁠in the ⁠swing district.
