Putin Reveals Oreshnik Hypersonic Missile Trials

President Vladimir Putin announced on Thursday that the Oreshnik hypersonic missile has not been used in actual combat against Ukraine, but has only undergone testing to evaluate its performance.

This testing phase, he explained, was crucial for determining strategies regarding the missile's potential full-scale deployment, including potential use on urban targets.

The Oreshnik, first tested against Ukraine in 2024, boasts a nuclear capability and a range in excess of 5,000 km. Although Putin claims it is impossible to intercept, Western experts remain skeptical about this assertion.
