In a significant push towards sustainable development, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has inaugurated several key projects in the Nainital district, amounting to Rs 96.71 crore. The initiatives include six inaugurated projects and seven foundations laid for future endeavors, according to a statement from the Chief Minister's Office.
During the event, Chief Minister Dhami highlighted the dual focus on development and environmental conservation, urging the public to act swiftly towards forest fire prevention. He stressed that vigilance from citizens could prevent extensive damage and ensure safety, aligning with the government's aim to reach the remotest areas with development benefits.
Marking World Environment Day, the Chief Minister celebrated Bhimtal's scenic beauty while accentuating India's progressive stride under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He spoke on the transformative power of public involvement in initiatives like 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,' and recalled the historic Chipko Movement to inspire renewed collective action in environmental conservation.
