In a significant operation against cross-border terrorism, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a series of raids across Punjab and Haryana on Tuesday. The raids were aimed at dismantling a terror-gangster network reportedly orchestrated by Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti. Authorities searched 18 locations across nine districts, seeking to gather crucial evidence.

According to an NIA statement, the operation led to the seizure of several digital devices and documents, shedding light on financial transactions and communication networks linked to the suspects. The collected evidence is under forensic and technical scrutiny to uncover more about the cross-border terror plot. Certain individuals have been issued notices to join the investigation as part of the ongoing probe.

The NIA's investigation has linked Bhatti to multiple attacks, including the 2025 grenade attack on influencer Roger Sandhu's residence in Punjab. Other notable incidents include explosions in Haryana, for which Bhatti has been chargesheeted. Despite charges against him and his associates, the NIA continues its aggressive efforts to trace all terror linkages.
