The ongoing tussle over the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II project has intensified, with Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) launching a scathing attack against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. KTR condemned the Congress government's inability to secure approval from the Centre, branding it as a glaring example of administrative incompetence.

KTR pointed out that despite numerous visits to New Delhi, Revanth Reddy has not been able to push for the crucial Metro approval. This shortcoming, KTR insists, underscores the Chief Minister's ineffective leadership and lack of influence with the Central Government. Accusations were leveled at Reddy for his failure to confront Prime Minister Narendra Modi, allegedly due to political entanglements stemming from the 'cash-for-vote' scandal.

The BRS leader further accused the state government of deprioritizing the Metro expansion in favor of ill-conceived projects that serve personal benefits. He criticized the Congress government's alleged attempts to undermine the Hyderabad Metro and thereby destabilize investor confidence, demanding transparency and a concrete roadmap for Phase-II implementation.
