Italy's PD reports fruitful progress after meeting with 5-Star

Italy's opposition Democratic Party reported that "fruitful" progress was made in talks with the ruling 5-Star Movement after delegations from the two parties met in parliament to try to seal an agreement on a new government. "Our work is continuing in a fruitful way," PD Senate leader Andrea Marcucci told reporters.

"We have analyzed points for the basis of a common program," added Paola De Micheli, the PD's deputy leader.
