Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Thursday he was ready to sign an EU resolution to make the bloc carbon neutral by 2050 as long as poorer countries did not bear the brunt of the cost of emissions cuts.

Speaking to media on his way to a summit of European leaders, he said that the contribution that nuclear power could make to fighting climate change should be accepted once and for all.
