'Mahadev' trends on Twitter as Sawan month begins; see pictures

Sawan, the holy month has begun on Wednesday, July 17 and it will conclude on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day and Rakshabandhan. As the holy month began, tech-savvy devotees of Lord Shiva celebrated by sharing delightful pictures of Shiva sculptures and poojas from all over the world with the hashtag "#MahadevTwitter".
Devotees observe fast and give up non-vegetarian food during Sawan for worshipping Lord Shiva, who is popularly known as Mahadev. The Mondays during the holy month are called Sawan Somwar and are considered very auspicious.
