Downpour lashes several parts of Rajasthan

Heavy to very heavy rains lashed several parts of Rajasthan in the last 24 hours, with Behror in Alwar recording a maximum of 195 mm rainfall, according to a Meteorological Department report issued on Monday.

Neemrana, Bansur, Mandawar (all in Alwar) received 190, 136 and 124 mm rains respectively while Buhana (Jhunjhunu) and Ladpura (Kota) recorded 117 and 101 degrees respectively from Sunday till Monday morning, the report said.

Many other places also recorded below 100 mm rains during this period.

The department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places in Alwar and Jhunjhunu districts later in the day.
