Key Azerbaijan-Karabakh corridor to reopen to Russia aid

Nagorno-Karabakh separatist authorities said on Saturday that a deal had been reached with Azerbaijan to restore humanitarian aid transport along the Lachin corridor, the Armenian state news agency Armenpress said.

Humanitarian aid has also been sent to Artsakh, as Nagorno-Karabakh is known in Armenian, in vehicles of the Russian Red Cross, Armenpress added. The move grants Azerbaijan's key demand of restoring transport from Baku's territory to the breakaway province for the first time since Karabakh won its de facto independence in a war that ended in 1993.
