Greater Noida Ramps Up Infrastructure Development Post-Elections

Following the two-month Lok Sabha election model code of conduct lift, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has initiated repair and development activities. They have issued tenders worth Rs 60 crore for critical infrastructure projects. The works are expected to start within a month, ensuring timely completion across various sectors and villages.

The lifting of the two-month Lok Sabha election model code of conduct has led the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) to expedite infrastructure repair and maintenance activities.

On Friday, GNIDA issued tenders worth approximately Rs 60 crore for various critical infrastructure projects, including road, sewer, water, and lighting works, with an ambitious plan to complete the tender process within a month.

The Election Commission's decision on Thursday to lift the code, which came into force on March 16, was welcomed, allowing Greater Noida—part of Gautam Buddh Nagar, which voted on April 26—to resume development work.
