Over the past 16 years at the Fraunhofer Office, Iyer has played a pivotal role in fostering partnerships between India and Europe. Her contributions span various fields including smart cities, renewable energy, smart manufacturing, and digitalization—key areas that highlight her influence in the Indo-German Expert Group on Digitalisation.

German Ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann, praised Iyer for her exemplary work that not only bolstered Indo-German relations but also paved the way for significant technological advancements. Ackermann also commended Iyer's dedication to empowering women in science and technology.
