A sudden cloudburst on Sunday morning has thrown Itanagar into chaos, resulting in numerous landslides and severe flooding.

Despite previous rains in Arunachal Pradesh, recent clear weather gave no indication of the impending disaster. The cloudburst struck around 10:30 am, flooding the NH-415, a crucial artery for the city.

Homes near Energy Park and Bank Tinali have been inundated, prompting district officials to advise residents to relocate to safer areas. Several roads within the city are damaged, and relief camps have been established as rescue operations intensify.
