Rajasthan Braces for Heavy Rains Amidst Soaring Temperatures

Moderate to heavy rains were recorded in Rajasthan over the past 24 hours, with more rainfall expected in the coming days. Ghatol and Raniwara witnessed significant rainfall while temperatures soared above 40 degrees Celsius in several locations. Ganganagar recorded the highest temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius.

Rajasthan experienced moderate to heavy rainfall in several regions over the last 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department's latest report. The forecast suggests that this trend will continue, bringing good rains to the state in the near future.

The Meteorological Centre in Jaipur highlighted that southern and eastern parts of Rajasthan received substantial rainfall. Specifically, Ghatol in Banswara recorded 76 mm of rain, the highest in the state, while Raniwara in Jalore saw 71 mm of rainfall as of 8:30 am on Monday.

Despite the rains, temperatures remained high, with many locations recording maximum temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. Ganganagar hit 41.3 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature registered in the state during this period. The centre predicts that heavy rains may continue in parts of eastern Rajasthan with some areas experiencing very heavy rainfall later this week.
