A landslide obstructed the route to Manimahesh Dal Lake in the Bharmour area of Chamba district on Thursday.

A 19-second video of the landslide between Goinallah and Donali, captured by a traveler, surfaced on social media, raising safety concerns.

Although the Manimahesh Yatra officially runs from August 17 to September 15, devotees and tourists often undertake the pilgrimage outside these dates. In light of the landslide, the administration has urged people to avoid the route and has erected information boards to warn travelers.

In addition to the landslide, twelve roads across various districts of Himachal Pradesh, including Shimla, Mandi, and Kangra, remain closed due to ongoing rainfall last week. The state emergency operation center reported light rain continuing across the state, with Kasauli recording the highest rainfall at 38 mm. The Meteorological Office in Shimla issued a 'yellow' warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning, predicting a wet spell till July 17.
