Jyotiraditya Scindia's Vision for North East India's Progress

DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia aims to act as a facilitator to fulfill the North Eastern states' aspirations. He highlighted the region's rich cultural heritage and significant infrastructure investments made in the past decade, promising further development in social sectors and potential growth areas.

Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia emphasized his role as a facilitator dedicated to meeting the aspirations of the North Eastern states. He underscored the importance of showcasing the region's cultural heritage and natural resources on a global stage.

During his first visit to the North East since assuming charge, Scindia discussed the substantial budgetary increase for the region, noting that investments have soared from Rs 24,000 crore to nearly Rs 84,000 crore over the past decade. Significant infrastructure advancements include expansions in roads, railways, and airports.

Scindia also highlighted progress in social sectors such as health, education, and sports, alongside potential growth areas such as tourism, agarwood, and bamboo production. He reiterated the shift from a ‘Look East Policy’ to an ‘Act East Policy’ to further these initiatives.
