Data from the State Emergency Response Centre (SEOC) reveals that Gujarat has thus far accumulated 30 percent of its average monsoon rainfall. Ahmedabad was particularly impacted in the afternoon and evening, leading to waterlogged roads and underpasses, causing severe traffic congestion.
Reports indicate that several districts, including Bharuch, Narmada, Panchmahal, Vadodara, and Anand, recorded over 50 mm of rain in a 12-hour span ending at 6pm. Larger figures were noted in areas such as Netrang in Bharuch and Garudeshwar in Narmada, receiving between 100-200 mm.
