Vice President Dhankhar Joins 'Ek Ped Ma ke Naam' Plantation Drive

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar participated in a plantation drive named 'Ek Ped Ma ke Naam' organized by the Delhi Development Authority at Asita along the Yamuna river. The project is part of the Asita East initiative, aiming to restore the floodplain’s ecological character and provide green space to the public.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar participated in the 'Ek Ped Ma ke Naam' plantation drive at Asita along the Yamuna river, officials disclosed on Saturday.

Organised by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the drive highlights an ongoing effort to restore the region's ecological balance.

The Asita East project, inaugurated by Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena in 2022, spans 197 hectares. It aims to rejuvenate the floodplain's ecological character and offer a breathable green space, with 90 hectares managed by the DDA and the remainder under Uttar Pradesh’s irrigation department.
