Cylinder Blast in Vikhroli Injures Two Severely

A cylinder blast in Vikhroli, Mumbai, resulted in severe injuries to two individuals, Dhananjay Mishra and Radheshyam Pande, on Saturday night. The blaze, which broke out in Shriram Society, was extinguished by locals before the fire brigade arrived. The injured are currently admitted to Rajawadi Hospital.

Two individuals were seriously injured after a fire broke out in a hut due to a cylinder blast in the Vikhroli area of Mumbai on Saturday night, an official said.

Dhananjay Mishra, aged 46, sustained approximately 99 per cent burn injuries, while Radheshyam Pande, 45, suffered around 92 per cent, according to the Fire Brigade official.

The incident occurred in a hut in Shriram Society, Sanjay Nagar, at around 9:35 PM, causing a fire that gutted electric wiring, installations, and household items.

Public members managed to extinguish the fire before the fire brigade's arrival, using buckets of water and by disconnecting the electric supply.

The injured individuals have been admitted to Rajawadi Hospital, and the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, added the official.
