A kanwariya lost his life and 13 others suffered burn injuries when their canter-truck came into contact with an overhead electricity wire in Haryana, according to police reports.

The incident occurred in Nawada, where the victims, Shiva devotees on the kawar yatra, were en route to Haridwar to collect water from the Ganga river.

Nitin, 20, a resident of Tigaon, was transferred to another hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
