Tragic Drowning in Saryu River: Nitish, 18, Loses Life

A young man named Nitish drowned in the Saryu River while bathing with friends. Despite being rescued by locals, he was declared dead at the hospital. His two friends are safe. Police are investigating the incident and have sent the body for a postmortem examination.

A young man drowned while bathing with his friends in the Saryu River, police reported on Friday.

Dinesh Pathak, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sikandarpur police station, stated that 18-year-old Nitish, along with two friends, was swept away by the river's strong current. Although locals managed to rescue the trio and rush them to the hospital, Nitish was declared dead by the doctors. His two friends are out of danger, according to the SHO.

The police have sent Nitish's body for a postmortem examination and are currently investigating the incident.
