Bodies of Missing Individuals Recovered After SUV Swept Away by Flooded Rivulet

The bodies of two missing individuals were recovered after their SUV was swept away by a flooded rivulet. The incident, which claimed the lives of nine people, occurred during heavy rainfall as the family travelled to a wedding in Punjab. Local efforts and the NDRF led the rescue operation.

The bodies of two individuals, who went missing after their vehicle was swept away by a swollen rivulet, were discovered on Wednesday, police reported.

The tragic incident claimed nine lives, including eight family members, when their SUV was swept away by the flooded Jaijon Choe, a seasonal rivulet, approximately 34 km from the incident site on Sunday.

One survivor was rescued by locals. A National Disaster Response Force team found the bodies in Badowal Khad, seven kilometers from the accident scene, three days later.
