The IT hub witnessed a significant 68% increase in industrial and logistics leasing between January and June this year, according to a recent report by a real estate consulting firm.

The 'CBRE Industrial & Logistics Figures H1 2024' report indicated a total leasing of 3.4 million square feet during the first half of the year, compared to 2 million square feet in the same period last year. Notable leasing transactions included agreements by VRL Logistics, Blinkit, and DHL.

The report highlighted that Bengaluru, along with Delhi-NCR and Kolkata, accounted for 58% of the overall space take-up in H1 2024. An optimistic outlook for the sector is anticipated, driven by increasing demand and new market players, according to Anshuman Magazine, chairman & CEO, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East & Africa, CBRE.
