Swift Rescue in Bihar: Six Saved, Teacher Missing in Separate Incident

Six people were rescued from the Gandak river in Bihar's West Champaran district after their boat capsized. Separately, a search operation is ongoing for a school teacher who fell into the Ganga river near Patna. Both incidents involved quick response efforts from local authorities.

Six people were rescued from the Gandak river in Bihar's West Champaran district on Saturday after a boat in which they were travelling capsized, according to an official statement. The accident occurred in Chandrapur village in Bagaha when a motor boat capsized in the morning.

West Champaran District Magistrate Dinesh Kumar Rai reported that a rescue operation commenced immediately after the administration received information about the incident. All six people were successfully rescued.

In a separate incident on Friday, a government school teacher fell into the Ganga river near Patna and was swept away by strong currents. The incident happened at the Nasriganj ghat where Avinash Kumar took a boat to reach his school. Rescue personnel from the state disaster response force are continuing search efforts for the missing teacher.
