Telangana is grappling with extensive disruption due to ongoing heavy rains, prompting Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to act swiftly by discussing with ministers, officials, and elected members about the state’s emergency measures.
The Chief Minister monitored the affected regions and communicated with key ministers, including Bhatti Vikramarka and Jupalli Krishna Rao, to assess relief operations. The Meteorological Centre issued a red warning for several districts, predicting very heavy to extremely heavy rain from August 27 to September 2.
Heavy downpour has led to disruptions on the South Central Railway lines, with several trains canceled or diverted. The inundation has affected transportation and connectivity, with several villages cut off due to flooding. Officials have been instructed to be vigilant and engaged in relief efforts, while residents have been advised to stay indoors except for emergencies.
