Rajasthan Drenched: Monsoon Deluge Exceeds Average by 60%
Rajasthan has experienced a monsoon season with 60% more rainfall than the average, according to the state's water resources department. Twenty-eight districts received abnormal rainfall, while many dams across the state are now full. Heavy rainfall has particularly impacted the western regions, causing water logging in desert areas.

Rajasthan is witnessing an unusual monsoon season, with rainfall exceeding the average by 60%, as per the state's water resources department. None of its districts recorded a rainfall deficit.
Out of 50 districts, 28 have experienced more than 60% rainfall, categorized as abnormal. These include Ajmer, Alwar, and Jodhpur among others. Fourteen districts saw 20-59% more rainfall, classified as excess, while eight districts experienced normal rainfall.
Heavy rainfall has filled 335 of the state's 691 dams, with 109 dams still dry. Western Rajasthan faced water logging due to incessant rains, particularly in Jodhpur division, which saw 117.88% more rainfall than average. The weather office predicts continued rain till September 10.
