Telangana CM Pushes for Swift Development of Hyderabad's Greenfield Pharma City
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to expedite the development of a greenfield pharma city near Hyderabad. The initiative, aimed at creating a pollution-free pharmaceutical hub, will include state-of-the-art infrastructure and attract investments from leading pharma companies. A Special University and employment opportunities are also part of the plans.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday urged officials to fast-track the development of a greenfield pharma city on Hyderabad's outskirts.
The CM held discussions with state IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and senior officials, directing them to develop the pharma city in Mucharla within Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar districts.
Reddy emphasized leveraging advanced global technology for the project, aiming for a pollution-free environment and ensuring minimal inconvenience to nearby residents. He called for comprehensive infrastructure development, including roads, safe drinking water, electricity, and drainage systems.
He revealed that prominent pharma companies are ready to invest and a meeting with prospective investors is imminent. The pharma city aims to be a hub for drug manufacturing, biotech, and life sciences companies, focusing on antibiotics, synthetic drugs, and other related products. A Special University for research and skills training, along with new healthcare courses to boost employment, was also announced.
