A man in Sikkim suffered critical injuries after a black panther attack in Hee Gyathang village, Dzongu tehsil. The victim, identified as Zigmee Lepcha, was rushed to a Gangtok hospital, where his condition remains critical.
State Forest Minister Pintso Namgyal Lepcha visited the hospital to ensure the injured man received immediate medical care. Simultaneously, the forest department has implemented traps to capture the elusive panther.
Locals in Hee Gyathang village are now on high alert, avoiding the forest area even for daily activities in light of the recent attack.
