Tragedy Strikes in Datia: Wall Collapse Claims Seven Lives

In a tragic incident on Thursday, seven people were killed after an old wall adjacent to a house collapsed due to heavy rains in Datia, Madhya Pradesh, officials reported.
The incident occurred around 4 am in the Khalkapura area, where the wall fell over the house, trapping nine residents under the rubble.
Seven fatalities were confirmed, while two others were successfully rescued, according to Datia Collector Sandeep Makin. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed his sorrow over the tragedy and announced Rs 4 lakh in assistance for each victim's family.
Senior officials swiftly arrived at the scene post-incident, initiating rescue operations.
