Andhra Pradesh Allocates Rs 186 Crore for Road Repairs After Heavy Rains

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced the release of Rs 186 crore on Friday to repair 4,565 km-long roads that were damaged in recent rains and floods.
Additionally, Rs 290 crore has been sanctioned for pothole repairs during a review meeting of the Roads and Buildings department. An official press release quoted Naidu confirming these allocations.
The Chief Minister stressed the urgency of starting road repairs as soon as the rains subside and highlighted the significant damage caused by heavy rainfall. Advanced technologies like drones and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) will be deployed in the repair process.
Naidu also agreed to release Rs 42 crore for land acquisition to complete roads over bridges (RoB) and urged officials to expedite Rs 65,000 crore worth of national highway projects in collaboration with central government departments.
