During a hearing concerning the proposal to designate Dhanauri wetlands as a Ramsar site, the tribunal noted that the wetlands were significantly affected by the invasive species.

The bench, which included Chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava, emphasized the directive for state authorities to address the issue, noting that further discussions are set for January 7.
