Chhattisgarh Green Summit 2023: A New Paradigm in Forest Conservation

The first-ever Chhattisgarh Green Summit is set to commence in Raipur from October 3 to 5, aiming to promote environmental sustainability and integrate traditional Lok values into the developmental discourse.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will inaugurate the summit, with Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap serving as the guest of honor. The event is organized by the Chhattisgarh Forest and Climate Change Department.

Expert-led sessions will explore the relationship between forests and communities, delve into Indian forestry, and cover ecosystem services. These discussions aim to craft a sustainable model that balances ecological preservation with community welfare, as highlighted by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests V Srinivasa Rao.
