Aarti Manwane, a 23-year-old woman employed as a digital marketing executive, tragically lost her life on Wednesday afternoon. The fatal accident occurred when she was struck by a dumper truck while crossing Karve Road in Pune, police reported.

According to the authorities, Manwane, who originated from Amaravati in eastern Maharashtra, was crossing the street while engaged in a phone conversation. This incident has prompted police to lay charges against the truck's driver, leveraging CCTV evidence from the scene.

An official stated, ''The CCTV footage reveals that the woman was on a call while trying to cross the road, prompting us to take action against the truck driver.''
