Infrastructure consultancy firm REPL has announced a partnership with Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL) to implement a sophisticated GIS project.
Spanning five years, this initiative includes consumer indexing and the creation of a GIS-based asset mapping system. It's part of the Union Ministry of Power's Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme aimed at improving power supply quality and reliability.
REPL CMD Pradeep Misra emphasized the project's significance, stating it would improve power distribution network efficiency and reliability by integrating advanced GIS technology. The initiative will facilitate better infrastructure planning, service quality, and accountability throughout Jharkhand.
