Delhi BJP MPs met Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, to advocate for transformative urban development projects. They unveiled a comprehensive roadmap to position the capital as a world-class city.
Key proposals highlighted by the MPs included expanding metro connectivity across the city, launching NaMo Bharat fast-track corridors, and accelerating housing projects for slum residents. Initiatives such as establishing an education hub in Narela and a world-class stadium were also discussed.
Moreover, discussions aimed at connecting strategic locations like Delhi Airport, Dwarka, and Gurugram, and improving metro links to Terminal-1 at the airport. The extension of metro lines from Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj and Jaitpur was also proposed. As part of these efforts, the central government is urged to prioritize pollution control and decongestion measures, ensuring a balanced growth for the NCR region.
