NPG Evaluates Five Key Projects to Streamline India’s Infrastructure

The Network Planning Group (NPG) under the PM GatiShakti initiative reviewed five significant infrastructure projects, encompassing road and airport developments, according to an official disclosure on Wednesday.

The evaluation assessed how these projects align with the integrated planning principles embedded in the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan, aiming to augment logistical efficiency, cut down travel times, and yield substantial socio-economic advantages for varied regions, it detailed.

Chaired by E Srinivas, Joint Secretary for the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), the meeting scrutinized projects in the metro, Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), road, and airport sectors, highlighting initiatives like the Delhi-Panipat-Karnal Namo Bharat Project and the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport expansion.
