The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) unveiled a substantial Rs 17,000 crore budget for the forthcoming financial year, prioritizing sanitation with an impressive Rs 4,907.11 crore earmarked for the sector.

During a special budget meeting, MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar outlined the proposed spending plan for 2025-26, detailing allocations for critical services.

Education has been allocated Rs 1,693.73 crore, while Rs 1,833.51 crore will go towards healthcare. The horticulture department will receive Rs 393.26 crore to bolster green space and enhance urban landscaping efforts.
