Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called for immediate action against illegal residential layouts, directing officials to provide B-Khata certificates as a one-time settlement. This decision aims to legalize unauthorized properties, offering relief to countless owners and generating significant revenue for the state.

During a video conference with the Urban Development Department and district officials, the Chief Minister emphasized the urgency of the initiative. He stressed that eliminating illegal layouts is crucial and mandated officials to complete the process in three months. Siddaramaiah also insisted on removing intermediaries from the process.

The Chief Minister warned that any resurgence of illegal settlements would lead to accountability for district authorities. Moreover, the government announced that it would not tolerate any compromise on this matter and underscored the need for a steadfast and comprehensive approach to end unauthorized developments permanently.
