At least six workers are feared trapped following a roof collapse in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal's under-construction section in Nagarkurnool, Telangana. The mishap occurred with workers present inside the tunnel when the incident took place.
A team from the construction company is assessing the situation, while state machinery, including the district Collector and Superintendent of Police, have been sent to the scene by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to manage relief efforts.
Inquiries into the incident continue, with Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy also urging for a swift rescue and asking for immediate medical treatment for any injured personnel.
