Landmark Genetic Research Initiative Focuses on Rare Disorders

The Avestagenome Project and Avesthagen Limited have partnered with the Tata Institute for Genetics and Society to research rare genetic disorders, particularly in the Zoroastrian Parsi community. Utilizing an extensive Biobank, the alliance aims to advance diagnostics and therapeutics, contributing to broader genetic research and global health improvements.

The Avestagenome Project and Avesthagen Limited have formed a strategic alliance with the Tata Institute for Genetics and Society to delve deeper into rare genetic disorders, focusing on the Zoroastrian Parsi community.

This partnership aims to utilize AGENOME's extensive Biobank, containing 4,700 blood samples, to uncover genetic markers linked to rare diseases. TIGS will offer expertise in functional genomics, enhancing the development of diagnostic and therapeutic innovations.
