A devastating fire engulfed at least eight houses and four eateries in Mizoram's Lawngtlai district during the early hours of Thursday, according to police reports.
The blaze, which erupted around 1:30 am in Diltlang village, about 155 km from Aizawl, thankfully resulted in no loss of life.
Thanks to the swift action of police and local residents, the flames were contained, preventing further spread to adjacent areas. Authorities are now conducting a thorough investigation to determine the fire's origin and assess the full scale of the damage.
