Monsoon Advances Across Northwest India, Bringing Relief
The southwest monsoon has advanced into parts of Punjab, and is expected to continue into Haryana and Chandigarh in the next two days, according to the Met department. Areas of Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Kashmir, and Jammu have also seen advancement, with pre-monsoon showers already providing relief from heat in Punjab and Haryana.

The southwest monsoon made progress through parts of Punjab on Sunday, with favorable conditions set for its further progression in Haryana and Chandigarh over the upcoming days, as reported by a senior Met department official.
Surinder Pal, Director of the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, confirmed the monsoon's advancement in regions of Punjab, projecting similar developments for Haryana, including Chandigarh, in the near future.
According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon has extended over most of Himachal Pradesh, and fully over Ladakh and Kashmir. It also covers most of Jammu and portions of Punjab, with pre-monsoon rains recently offering respite from heat in Punjab and Haryana. More rainfall is forecasted for the area in the coming days.
