A tragic road accident in Sikkim's Mangan district resulted in the death of a teenager and injuries to three family members after their vehicle plummeted into a ravine, officials reported.
The unfortunate incident took place around 10.30 PM on Sunday as the family was traveling from Gangtok to Ringhim village. Prompt emergency evacuation was carried out by the police with assistance from locals.
A 13-year-old child died on the spot, while the injured were rushed to STNM Hospital in Gangtok. An investigation by the police is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
