The Central government has approved a substantial project funding of Rs 821.26 crore, earmarked to transform Delhi into a developed city, as announced by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. These funds will accelerate vital public service enhancements across sectors such as health, education, and transport.

Under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2025-26, Rs 716 crore will be allocated to 33 infrastructure projects, with an additional Rs 105.26 crore dedicated to the MRTS Phase-IV Priority Corridor. This decision aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India.

Gupta expressed her gratitude to national leaders for their support and assured transparent, timely implementation of projects. The comprehensive development plan is also expected to bolster urban mobility and economic activity within the capital, benefiting the citizens directly.
