Tragic Encounter: Leopard Attack in Bijnor

A 35-year-old woman was killed by a leopard while working in a field in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred in Bhikkawala village, where the leopard attacked and killed Poonam. After the attack, the leopard consumed part of her shoulder. The woman's body has been sent for examination.

A tragic incident unfolded in Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh, where a 35-year-old woman was fatally attacked by a leopard while working in her field, officials reported Thursday. The deadly encounter occurred in Bhikkawala village, within the Afzalgarh area.

Ankita Kishor, forest range officer at Amangarh Tiger Reserve, stated that the victim, Poonam, was mauled to death by the big cat. The leopard, after attacking the woman, consumed flesh from her shoulder.

Authorities have sent the body for an autopsy to confirm the details of the attack and to ensure all necessary measures are taken to prevent future incidents.
